It’s back-to-school time! The new school year started for us a few weeks ago, actually, but with Labor Day in the mix this is actually the first FULL week of school so far and I finally feel like we’re falling into a routine. A crazy routine with soccer three nights a week and homework and all that jazz, but a routine nonetheless. With our busy schedule there’s not a lot of time to primp in the bathroom after showers or before school, but my darling daughter who just turned 9 last week is reaching that age where she wants her hair styled before school. In fact, she just cut about 6 inches off right before school started to try a whole new look. Am I ready for this young lady and what happened to my little girl? Actually I’m ready and excited and these new products we got to try from SoCozy are making Lily’s new interest in her hair a lot of fun for both of us!
SoCozy has salons for kids in New York City (so check that out if your local!) and also sells a line of their salon-quality products. As a mom the thing I really love about these is that they’re designed for kids’ hair and safe, too. They’re made with natural ingredients like hops, rosemary, and aloe which are good for the hair and scalp. And what it DOESN’T have is even better: no harmful chemicals, toxins, or parabens. So it’s totally safe, works great and smells great.
My daughter has REALLY thick hair and it’s prone to a lot of tangles and she’s not exactly what I’d call ‘cooperative’ about getting them out. The SoCozy products have worked wonderfully for her and been a lifesaver for me. This is what we’ve been using:
- Cinch 2-in-1 Shampoo + Body Wash in Guav-o-rama
- Cinch Super Hydrating Conditioner in Berry-Whip
- Cinch Detangler + Leave-In Conditioner in Fruity-tutti
- Behave Styling Mouse Medium Hold in Peachy-keen
Look at that smiley girl with the pretty hairdo! These products have worked so well for us. I often have to help her wash her hair because she just has so much of it and, let’s face it, I’m a control freak and I don’t feel confident she’s doing a great job really getting her hair clean. The 2-in-1 Shampoo + Body Wash has made it so much easier for her to take over. It lathers up really, really well and smells soooo good! Plus she can use it as soap too and be done even faster. We use a few spritzes of the Leave In Conditioner and can quickly brush through her hair which a SUCH a nice change of pace. Let me tell you about the tears that have been shed over the knots in this child’s hair. Do you have a few hours to spare? I’m so thankful for this fix.
We put a little of the Behave Styling Mouse in Lily’s hair to flat iron it and put a little braid in this morning before school. Other than a couple of flyaways (mommy error – I’m no stylist, folks), I think it looks beautiful. Her hair is shiny and healthy looking, no knots, and it smells divine! The peach mousse…yum! Back-to-school do’s are so much easier and more fun with SoCozy hair products for kids!
