I recently discovered the World Menu line at GIANT Food Stores and I’m so glad I did for two main reasons: First, my family loves international food, especially Asian and Italian which is what most of the World Menu line is. So these meals are right up our alley. Second, I have been known to get myself in a dinner-making rut now and then and just run out of ideas. That’s especially true now that spring sports season is upon us and most of the time I’m looking for a fast, easy meal to get on the table before we have to rush out the door.
The World Menu line includes international foods, specifically Asian and Italian, that use high quality ingredients to provide tasty, EASY, and affordable meal options. Above is just a quick shot of a few of the varieties I was eyeing up for dinner this week. The Italian selections look awesome but my family really loves Asian food so I decided on that. You can see that it’s really affordable. Some of these items were on sale for only $3! I bought 3 different things and paid about $12 for everything to feed my family of 4.
Above is the Sesame Stir Fry that comes with rice. It’s really easy to make. You pretty much just saute it in a pan and microwave the rice and then serve it together. The Spring Rolls were SO good! We really loved these. They cooked in the oven while I had the Stir Fry on the stove.
I wasn’t sure that that was going to be enough food for my family, so I grabbed a little extra dish to serve, this Indian inspired Butter Chicken. I’m glad I did. We ate every last bite of everything! Even the kids loved this dish. And they’ve never had Butter Chicken before so this was an easy, pretty risk-free way to introduce them to a new flavor. This entire thing is made in the microwave so it was super easy for me. Three cheers for that!
Head to your local GIANT Food Store and hit the frozen food section to see what World Menu items catch your eye. I’d love to hear what you try and how your family likes it. I’ll definitely be adding more of these to our menu occasionally to spruce things up without stressing me out at dinnertime (or breaking the bank)!
