What a busy holiday break we had here! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves too. It’s been a few days since we performed one of our #26acts of kindness in honor of the victims of Newtown but the New Year brings on a new commitment to spread some love! So today I gathered up all of the Christmas cards we got in the mail this year and tomorrow I’ll hit the post office to mail them to St. Jude. They accept cards of all kinds and the kids there take the fronts and add a new back, turning them into a recycled card that they sell to benefit their programs for kids with cancer.
You can read my post all about this program here, including where to send your cards and how to order them. I keep a stash of birthday cards, thank yous, Easter cards, any cards we get all year round and then once or twice a year when I have a good stack I mail them out. This is a total win-win. I don’t have to trash my cards, and they actually benefit some pretty special kids!

If you’re on Twitter or Instagram you should take some time to look through the #26acts hashtags. The kindness people are showing random strangers will bring tears to your eyes. It’s incredible. Read more about where this idea came from in my first #26acts post, and find all of my #26acts posts here to give you some ideas on how you can join in and pay it forward! And please comment, tweet me, post on my Facebook wall, or email me at pandorasdeal (at) gmail (dot) com and tell me about your #26acts! I’d love to share them with my readers and get inspired by your acts of kindness!
