25+ Guided Journals to Creatively Document Your Year

January 4, 2017

Writing in a daily diary can feel so mundane. Here are 25+ journals to spark some inspiration and creatively document your days!

At the start of a new year we all have some goals in mind and I’ve always found that writing things down helps me achieve more. It really is amazing what happens when you put pen to paper.

I’m not really talking about a to-do list, but more of a flow of ideas, notes to self, brainstorms, that kind of thing. I know this year I want to read more books, be more mindful about my health, be more inspired in my work, be more ‘in the moment’ with my kids, and travel as much as we can as a family.

What is A Guided Journal?

I’ve never been able to really stick with a daily diary format, but I love the idea of documenting your goals and your path to them in a journal with guided prompts. There are SO many cool ones out there now for every little interest!

A guided journal offers prompts, exercises, directions, and activities. For many people, this is an easier way to journal without the daunting tasks of filling in a blank sheet of lined paper each day.

What are Different Types of Journals?

There are journals for every interest, whether you are trying to be more organized, decipher your dreams, document a health and fitness journey, or just have some creative fun.

Parent-Child Journals

There are also journals that are great for building relationships with your kids. I just bought this journal for my daughter and me to pass back and forth and we’ve really been enjoying learning things about each other.

If you’re like me and find motivation in writing down where you’ve been and where you’re going, you might love some of these ways to creatively document your journey, whatever path you’re on!
