A few years back my Mom bought this set of Preschool Prep DVDs for my sister and I to share. Her son was 2 years old at the time and just devoured the videos. This kid learned all the sight words in all three videos in about a week. It was ah-mazing. My sister would throw out all these puzzle piece letters onto a table, some upside down, some backwards, and her son would find the letters to spell theses sight words. He was even able to string them together to make sentences. And he was TWO! Granted, he’s smart as a whip (takes after his Aunt Lins, no doubt), but it was still pretty incredible. My daughter didn’t have an interest in them until much later, but if you present this stuff at that opportune time when the kids are ready to absorb it, it’s just awesome to watch them learn.
