Mattress Firm Sweepstakes

In Celebration of Disney’s ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY, (in theaters October 10) Mattress Firm is holding a “Terrific, Wonderful, Awesome, Very Good Night” Sleepstakes Contest where you can enter for a chance to win $5,000, a Beautyrest queen-size mattress and more!

Participants can enter for a chance to win the six-week Sleepstakes, which will run from Wednesday, Sept. 17 to November 4, 2014.

“We are excited to work with Disney on this co-branded collaboration,” said Karrie Forbes, executive vice president of marketing for Mattress Firm. “The collaboration supports our mission to raise awareness about the health benefits of a good night’s sleep and provide our customers with the means – the best mattresses – to live a healthy life.”

To register for the Sleepstakes contest, entrants will provide a written submission along with a photograph or video of their “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad” mattress stories, explaining why they need a “terrific, wonderful, awesome, very good night.” Participants can enter for a chance to win $5,000, a Beautyrest queen-size mattress set and more. Upon entry, all participants will receive a special coupon for $100 off their mattress purchase of $598 or more, to ensure all entrants can enjoy a “terrific, wonderful, awesome, very good night.”

Go throw your name in the hat for a shot at these amazing prizes!

Pillow Giveaway

Mattress Firm is generously helping me provide one of YOU with a better night’s rest by giving away a Lux Living Memory Foam Gel Pillow which retails for $129.00! I’m thinking we’ll rest well on this guy.

The Lux Living Memory Foam Lux Gel Pillow combines the best of both worlds. The cooling Lux Gel creates the perfect sleep surface and puts an end to pillow flipping, while advanced memory foam alleviates pressure points and supports your head and neck for deeper, longer, more restful sleep. Retail Value $129.00.

No more pillow flipping? Where do I sign? Looks amazing!  This giveaway is open to US residents ages 18+ only and will end at 11:59pm ET on October 17, 2014.  And remember that this giveaway is just for my readers and is separate from the sweepstakes above. You can enter BOTH!

Good luck! And don’t forget that ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY hits theaters on October 10. Go see it!  🙂

I had a bad day this week when someone rear-ended my car and I spilled hot coffee on myself right before work. To make matters worse, the accident made me late for an important meeting. So frustrating!

I had a bad day this week when the roofers decided to start extra early. All of the hammering woke me up and sure didn’t help my headache!

I’ll spare you all the gross details. But my dog was very sick last week. And I had several bad days cleaning up after him until we could finally get him to the vet on Friday.

I had physical therapy last Monday and it was a different woman. She insisted on exercises the other woman said I couldn’t do, naturally I ended up in worse pain than I started with. A week later I still have a constant headache.

Oh gosh I loved this book as a kid! I always call a bad day a terrible, no good, very bad day. Moving this weekend was no fun, but I’m so glad it’s done!

Started feeling sick on Tuesday so I left work early to get some rest. Woke up in the middle of the night with a serious fever and swollen glands. Found out Wednesday morning I have strep throat and would be out of work the rest of the week. Thank goodness I’m on the mend now but don’t want to have a mother day like Wednesday or Thursday any time soon!

Out of nowhere my car started this really really loud screaming. People stare at me when I go down the road, it’s embarrassing. I have to wait until my husband can get it in to fix. He says it’s not dangerous, but boy oh boy …you can hear me coming from a mile away!

A really bad day for me was when my car broke down and I realized I had left my cellphone at home. I am terrible with phone numbers and have all of my contacts programmed into my cellphone so I don’t know anyone’s number. Guess I shouldn’t rely so much on that darn cellphone.
