The new school year is in full swing here along with fall sports. We’re running all over the place, busy, busy, and bedtime is a real thing now that summer is over. And oh, what fun. Can you feel my sarcasm? My kids aren’t terrible about bedtime, but I always have to remind them more than once that it’s time to get jammies on, brush teeth, etc. etc.
We just started using Firefly products in the bathroom, these cool light up toothbrushes (with timers!) and the mouth rinses which my kids love, and I have not ONCE had to tell them to go brush their teeth since! They love using this stuff and it’s taking the pain out of bedtime for me. WIN-WIN!
I think my kids’ favorite Firefly products are the mouth rinses. And their brand new product, the Spider-Man Fun Pump Rinse is a HUGE hit around here! Things we love: It tastes good (though they know not to swallow it) so they can actually swish for the full 30 seconds. I like that it comes with a little cup (see it there in the bottom?), and I love that they can pump it themselves with NO MESS! This is huge for me because bathroom messes are a real thing around here.
My daughter Lily loves the Hello Kitty rinse. Look for these products in Walmart. They have other characters, too, like Angry Birds and Strawberry Shortcake.
The Firefly toothbrushes are so helpful to moms because they light up which makes it fun for kids, but that light is also functional. It’s a timer! It will stay lit for 1 minute (kids should brush for 1 minute per row of teeth) so kids know when it’s time to stop brushing. Even if you can get them to brush without a battle, it’s really tricky to get them to understand the importance of not saying, “I’m done” after 15 seconds.
I love how this light-up brush takes that job away from ME, and lets the kids monitor themselves.
Star Wars fans at home? My kids are Star Wars fanatics, especially Leo who leans toward the Dark Side of the Force. He is thrilled to have Darth Vader talk him through his toothbrushing each day. This brush lights up, makes light saber sounds, and Darth tells Leo when his training is complete. It’s fantastic!
Moms, we need all the help we can get to make life easier especially at bedtime when we’re out of steam, or in the morning before school when we don’t have time for the drama. Firefly has seriously been a huge help to us. My kids WANT to brush and rinse, and I don’t have to harass them to do it. This is one easy, affordable solution!
