I KILL GIANTS In Select Theaters and On Demand + Giveaway!

March 27, 2018

This post is in partnership with RLJ Entertainment. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Here's a fun new movie the whole family will love! Catch I KILL GIANTS in select theaters and on demand this spring. I have the trailer and images from the film in the post!

There’s an exciting new movie (based on a book, which are usually my favorite kinds of films!), available to watch now. I KILL GIANTS is showing in select theaters and on demand right now. You can grab it on iTunes to watch with your family! I have some images and the trailer below, plus a fun giveaway!

From the acclaimed graphic novel comes an epic adventure about a world beyond imagination. Teen Barbara Thorson (Madison Wolfe, The Conjuring 2) is the only thing that stands between terrible giants and the destruction of her small town. But as she boldly confronts her fears in increasingly dangerous ways, her new school counselor (Zoe Saldana, Guardians of the Galaxy) leads her to question everything she’s always believed to be true. I Kill Giants is an intense, touching story about trust, courage and love from the producers that brought you Harry Potter.

Check out the trailer below to get a great feel for the film. You’ll notice that it features an almost entirely female cast with many strong girls. The film also touches on themes of bullying, standing up for yourself, and finding strength within yourself. As a mom raising a tween right now, I just LOVE seeing these situations brought to life on the big screen. I have often found that books and movies can teach lessons to my kids that I have a hard time putting into works. I’m so excited to watch with my own daughter.

Doesn’t it look so good! I adore Barbara already, and you know anything from the makers of Harry Potter is going to be amazing!

Being born without arms has not proven a disability for this inspirational woman who has adapted to life using her feet. Jessica Cox, 32, was born without arms and while she wore prosthetic limbs as a child, she eventually abandoned them in favor of using her feet to perform everyday tasks. Jessica earned a Guinness World Record in 2008 when she received her pilot’s license and became the first woman to fly an airplane with her feet.

I grew up in a family of strong women and I admire them all! I live my life striving to reach my fullest potential and never let fear or uncertainty hold me back. I am thankful for all the positive role models from my childhood, including my great-grandmother, great aunt, grandmothers, mother, and many aunts.

I am always inspired by my daughters. My 15 year old was bullied by her best friend, and overnight became the social pariah of the class. I would have caved. Cried, begged to stay home. Not her, she marched into school, did her usual thing, was polite to the girl, never engaged…the bully moved on and was called for it. My daughter said, “SHE is the one with the problem, Mom”. Blistering moment when we realize that strong girls can teach us a thing or two.

My 12 year old granddaughter is a very strong girl who stands up for herself and chooses not to be a follower. If she feels her friends are trying to “sway” her into to doing something that she knows is wrong or doesn’t want to do, she will tell her friends that she is not interested. Love this girl for being brave in a society with a lot of bullying.
