‘Tis the season for things to start getting a little crazy up in here. The holidays mean all the parties, entertaining, gift buying, school events…You know what I mean, moms. But it’s also the best time of the year because we actually have holidays on the calendar that remind us to stop and be grateful, to count our blessings.

Just before I started writing this post I was messing around on Facebook where two of my friends are dealing with terminal cancer. They both posted pretty heartbreaking updates tonight, and man, it’s just hard to know what to do or say in times like these, isn’t it? Even given their situations, they are both so grateful for their friends, for the time they’ve been given, for the love that they’ve been shown.
And I admire that so much. We are all only on this Earth for a limited time, and right now I’m feeling grateful for the time that I have. If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that I just recently got home from a family trip to Jamaica. We made so many memories, had so many laughs, and left the daily stresses of homework, laundry, and what’s-for-dinner behind us. Family is priceless. Memories are priceless. The time we have together is everything. These are the things for which I am so grateful.
