I have a new Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week for us! Meet A.K. Doesn’t he look like so much fun?!
A.K. is a happy, outgoing pup on the search for a family to belong to. This three-year-old boy is a very handsome dog with a unique heritage. He’s part Treeing Walker Coonhound, Husky and English Shepherd. A.K. is a very sociable companion who isn’t shy about approaching his people for some hugs and kisses, but then it’s time to follow his hound nose around a great big back yard. There’s just so much to explore in this great big world, and A.K. would love to be by your side to experience it all! He enjoys being outside and, thanks to the Husky in him, the cold doesn’t bother him much. He loves a good romp in the snow! A.K.’s previous family reports that he is housebroken, crate-trained and he knows basic obedience commands. This sporty pup would be a great fit for an active family who is looking for a companion to share in all their activities. When the day’s fun winds to a close, you’ll find A.K. quite content to occupy the place next to you on the couch. Come visit this lovable boy and find out how fun your life could be with A.K. at your side!

If you’re interested in learning more about A.K. you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email dogadoptions@humaneleague.com.
Have you adopted a shelter pet? I’d love to hear about your fur child! Leave me a comment and tell me your story!
