January 14, 2014

I was provided with a complimentary Jabra Solemate Mini to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Jabra has some of the very coolest products on the market.  I have had the opportunity to review the Solemate and the Style and love both of them.  As a huge music lover I use the Solemate every single day and was so excited to learn that Jabra has come out with a smaller version, the Solemate Mini, and it comes it some awesome colors!

Solemate Mini

The Jabra Solemate Mini is the super-portable Bluetooth-enabled wireless speaker that packs a huge punch for something so small. And mine is RED! Don’t you love the color?  It also comes in blue, yellow, and black. But I totally love the red one!

Jabra Solemate Mini

I got the Solemate Mini right before Christmas so we had it playing Christmas music for the entire month of December.  I loved being able to fill the house with the holiday spirit at the touch of a button.  There are 2 things that make the Solemate Mini a must-have for me: the sound quality is phenomenal, and it’s extremely easy to use.  You can literally take it out of the box and be playing music on it in less than 2 minutes.

Jabra Solemate Mini

The 3-step directions on the inside of the box tell you everything you need to know to work it: Turn it on, connect it to the Bluetooth on your phone or other device, and the music will play. I actually think that’s more like 2 steps.  If you flip the Solemate Mini over you’ll see the audio cable stored right in the sole.  I use that to pair it with my Kindle and play any music I’ve bought from Amazon.  There’s a USB port on the side, too, so you can plug it into your computer and play music that way (and it will charge at the same time!) as well.   The speaker also has NFC (Near Field Communication) technology so if your phone is also enabled, you can just tap the devices together and they connect.

Jabra Solemate Mini

The Solemate Mini is designed to be even more compact that the Solemate. For comparison purposes I took the photo above so you can get the idea of the size difference.  The Mini is a good bit smaller than the original Solemate.  But honestly, I don’t notice a huge difference in the sound quality. They are both just about equally loud and sound amazing!  I like the smaller size for its quick portability.  I can take it with me in my pool or beach bag, even in my purse!

Jabra Solemate Mini

The Solemate Mini powered us through our Christmas cookie bake!  The kids and their Grammie were rockin’ to some holiday tunes while wrecking the kitchen and baking up my favorite treats.  Everything is so much more fun with music playing, isn’t it?

Jabra Solemate Mini

I honestly use my Jabra Solemate Mini every single day.  I should say, when my husband hasn’t stolen it to use himself!  I absolutely love this little device!  If you’re a music lover or need a gift for someone that is, this is the answer!  The sound quality is just awesome and it’s so simple to use.  You can grab a Solemate Mini for yourself on Amazon.
