Honeywell With Febreze Freshness Cool & Refresh Fan: Cools and Eliminates Odors!

Honeywell With Febreze Fan

It’s finally starting to warm up around here! Yay!  That was one ridiculously long winter.  Summer will bring hot weather and we’ll be jacking up the AC I’m sure.  One way to save on cooling your home is to use a fan, much cheaper to just cool the room you’re in than to cool your entire house.  Honeywell has a new Honeywell With Febreze Freshness Cool & Refresh Fan that it perfect for cooling a room while freshening it up at the same time!

Honeywell Febreze Table Top Fan

We have two kids, two cats and one dog. It’s a full house (and then some).  Between the lot of us there are plenty of occassions when a little freshness is much needed.  I love when I can open the windows and air the place out. Unfortunately my allergies are a monster already this year so I’m hesistant to do that most of the time.  This new Honeywell With Febreze Freshness Cool & Refresh Fan is perfect for killing two birds with one stone.  The fan cools the room while the Febreze insert freshens the air and eliminates odors.

“Pet owners and moms of teenage boys rejoice – there’s a new way to provide cooling power and combat smelly, stagnant indoor air. Combining 2 devices into one for convenient odor elimination and home climate control is the new Honeywell with Febreze Freshness™ Cool & Refresh Fan. This new fan product provides both effective cooling and quiet operation, and also uses Febreze® Set&Refresh® scent cartridges for whole room odor elimination and freshening. Use this table top model all year long in your kitchen and bathroom.”

There are a few features I really love about this fan:

It’s compact and attractive.  I stuck it in the corner of my kitchen and it has a nice sleek design, nothing bulky or in-the-way.  I really like the design. It’s pretty modern looking and can easily fit in with any decor.  At this point it’s not super hot just yet so I’m using it more for the freshness than the cooling.  Once it gets warmer out and I want to cool off with it I’ll get it up higher, probably on an end table or the end of the breakfast bar.

It oscillates!  Because of the taller design it doesn’t take up any more space when it turns which is nice. You don’t have to account for that when you find a place to put it.  You can set the fan to turn back and forth through a 90 degree range, or you can set it to remain stationary.

The smell is refreshing but subtle. I’ll be honest, I’m not a big fan of spraying smelly stuff in your house.  It usually smells so fake and flowery. And often it makes my allergies worse!  The Febreze Set & Refresh insert that goes in this fan (which, by the way, is not required to operate the fan) does not have a strong smell. It’s very mild and just enough to kill any lingering pet, cooking, or kid smells.  I really like it which pleasantly surprised me!  The scent cartridge is made to last 2-4 weeks depending on use, but as I mentioned, you can operate the fan without it.

There are different settings so you can control the fan speed and the Febreze release.  These are great features. The fan operates on low or high settings, both of which are very quiet.  It sort of sounds like a white noise machine is on very low volume in the background.  And the Febreze freshness release can be set on five different levels from low to high.  I usually put it on about the second lowest settings.  I’d recommend starting low and then increasing to get the desired strength.

Honeywell Febreze Fan

I think sometimes we have a need for a fan even in the colder months.  Hello kitchen and bathroom odors!  This table top model is so handy to move around if needed and slim enough to easy fit into a spot in any room. I’m really looking forward to keeping the house fresh and cool without killing our budget on electric AC.   Read more about this Honeywell With Febreze Freshness Cool & Refresh Fan here, or check it out on Amazon.  Be sure to follow Honeywell on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to know about their latest products and promotions.

I would love to put this in my TV room. This room gets alot of natural light and it is beautiful, but it gets very warm. I also have two boys which means smelling sneakers left out while watching TV, so this looks ideal!

I would love to have this for my office. We have no windows so this would really help to re-circulate and refresh the stale air.
