DENY Designs: Your House Never Looked So Cool

When we got married 10 years ago my husband and I did the typical gift registration at the local department stores.  We picked out a pretty comforter for our bed and a matching shower curtain.  Fast forward 10 years and I’m dying to replace them.  First of all, they’re 10 years old.  They’re a bit worn, but more than that, they’re BORING.  Was I boring 10 years ago?  Gosh, I might have been.  Now that I’m 10 years cooler I wanted something awesome to replace my set and found exactly what I was looking for when I discovered DENY Designs.

DENY Designs is based in Colorado and is a super modern home furnishings company.  They print their products here in the United States only after you order so they’re 100% custom made.  I literally have spent hours shopping on their website.  Each item they sell, each duvet cover, shower curtain, throw pillow, blanket, sheet set, clock and more is a work of art.  You can actually shop by artist.  The styles are so unique, so vibrant and just plain cool.  I love the idea of supporting talented artists that create these designs while adding some huge ‘wow’ to my home.

I actually bought my shower curtain from them first.  This is my bathroom.  I’m no Nate Berkus but I think it looks awesome.  This giant beta fish shower curtain by Valentina Ramos is just the coolest, isn’t it?  Besides the funky, bold design the thing I love about it is the material.  It’s 100% polyester and doesn’t wrinkle at all.  I didn’t even have to iron it when I got it out of the bag it was shipped in which was pretty awesome for me because if there’s one thing I hate it’s ironing.  It’s machine washable, too.  Love, love, love this shower curtain!  You definitely won’t find anything near this cool in a department store.

DENY offered to send me a duvet cover next.  I must have been online for two hours shopping for the one I wanted.  There are so many amazing choices that would add style and flair to your bedroom.  Some styles are way out there funky, and others are totally artsy, and some are colorful but basic.  I put together the collage above to show you some of the options. See? There’s something there for everyone.

Here’s is my before and after photo of our bed.  Don’t you love the DENY duvet cover we picked?  It’s the Blue Blossoms from Madart Inc. It’s awesome!  Now, I’ve never had a duvet cover before.  Only a regular comforter so I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out.  Fortunately it was super easy and I even put it right over our existing comforter and didn’t have to go buy a new duvet.  Even with a king size comforter I was able to get the duvet cover on all by myself (go me!).  It was really easy to do and the bottom just snaps shut looking nice and neat while keeping everything in its place.

Not only does our new duvet cover look spectacular, it feels fantastic too.  It’s so soft, not like a typical comforter. It’s made from a microfiber material that is just super comfy.  Ask my dog.  Or my cat.  I can’t get them off of it and if I had nothing better to do the lie in bed all day that’s where you’d find me.  Somehow this new duvet cover makes our bed look bigger to me, and it’s definitely cozier.  (Now we just need to paint the walls.  Paging Nate Berkus!)

DENY also carries fleece blankets, wall clocks, wall art, even jewelry armoires.
