I am a Cross Country Cafe Ambassador and was provided with complimentary Viennese Blend CBTL K-Cups to facilitate this post. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I always say that one of the things I love about having a Keurig is the ability to try so many different flavors of coffee easily. It’s so fun! Recently I ventured just slightly out of my comfort zone and tried the Viennese Blend Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf K-cups, courtesy of the BEST place to buy your k-cups, Cross Country Cafe. I am a pretty solid medium roast gal and this one is more of a dark roast, though on the lightest side of dark. (This description feels very Star Wars-y, no?) So it’s dark, but not terribly dark and pretty close to medium. I thought I’d give it a whirl and I was pleasantly surprised. Read the description below that’s on their site because I think it completely nails the flavor.
Keurig K-cup Viennese Blend is a dark roast by the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf company. Viennese coffee is the lightest of the dark roasts, only slightly darker than typical American brews but lighter than espresso, French and Italian roasts. The bean is roasted to that famous second crack producing a medium dark brown color caused by the remaining natural oils. Viennese coffee is sometimes referred to as full city, it offers us a bittersweet taste that smooths nicely with cream. There are sweet undertones of chocolate and caramel that play nicely on the dark roast feature.
I’ll admit this was a little darker than what I prefer but it was nothing a little coffee creamer couldn’t handle, which I use in every cup anyway. Some days I need more of a kick in the pants to get my butt in gear and a darker roast hits the spot. On those days I really appreciated this blend. If you like a dark blend but something that’s not bitter I think this might be right up your alley.
You can get Viennese Blend CBTL K-Cups at Cross Country Cafe. This is my favorite place to buy because first, it’s online! They’ll deliver right to your door.
