Tribes-A-Dozen Voilà! Hallah: All-Natural, Kosher Bread Mixes

I was provided with complimentary Tribes-A-Dozen products to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Tribes A Dozen Bread

We love freshly baked bread, especially with dinner.  It’s the perfect complement to a pasta dish or salad.  But I’ll be honest, it’s a rare occasion when I take it upon myself to make bread from scratch. It’s not hard really; it’s just a lot of work.  I love the idea of freshly made bread without all the measuring and mess making so I was excited to try Tribes-A-Dozen Voilà! Hallah breads. My family has absolutely loved them!

Tribes A Dozen Bread Mixes

We were sent these three mixes: Traditional, Wholey Wheat, and Simply Spelt.  First, let me tell you about these breads:

Tribes-A-Dozen’s Voilà! Hallah is an all-natural, Kosher line of traditional bread mixes created especially for busy home bakers. Gathering your family together in the kitchen to recreate long lost traditions is now even easier thanks to modern convenience.

Tribes-A-Dozen is about wholesome, all natural, kosher hallah (or challah bread) – – the classic egg bread – – also referred to as barches, brioche, kalács, osterbrot, or, simply, twisted bread.  Hallah has deep spiritual meaning in the Jewish faith, but traditional egg bread is enjoyed in many cultures and embraced by Kosher and non-Kosher households alike. Hallah, or egg bread, is perfectly enjoyed on its own, as sandwich bread, or as the ultimate base for French toast or bread pudding.

Tribes A Dozen Traditional

I made this loaf of braided Traditional bread for our Christmas dinner and everyone loved it.  It was really easy to make. I did have to plan ahead a little bit only because you need to give the dough time to rise twice. But there was next to no actual work involved for me. I measured oil and water and cracked a couple of eggs. My stand mixer did all the kneading.  It was honestly very simple.  And isn’t it pretty?  This bread was pretty dense and perfect with the Italian Wedding Soup we had on Christmas Day.

Tribes A Dozen Rolls

More recently I made the Wholey Wheat bread and chose to cut the dough up into rolls instead of a loaf. These directions weren’t on the box so I was kind of winging it but they came out awesome! My kids gobbled these up so fast and were asking for more!  I love not only that they taste great but that they’re easy to make. The kids can even help put them together.  And it’s just so nice to have freshly baked bread at the table (especially without a lot of mess and work!).

Pick up some Tribes-A-Dozen bread in a store near you and try it out. You’re going to love it!  We’ll definitely be buying again. You can also find Tribes-A-Dozen on Amazon.  Be sure to follow on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to speed with their latest products and promotions!

Tribes-A-Dozen is generously offering one of my readers the same sampler pack that I was sent that includes 3 boxes bread mixes!  This giveaway will end on February 19, 2014.  You can enter to win [HERE].

This looks SO good. We are reviewing this, too. Waiting to put the braided loaf into the oven. The rolls are a fantastic idea for a week night dinner. I love making bread and this makes it so easy. Your pics are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Crystal! You’ll love it. It’s SO good! Definitely try the rolls. My kids ate those so fast I barely got any! 😉
