Peet’s Coffee K-Cups: The Power of the Dark Side

Peet's Coffee K-Cups Review

I have always been a medium roast gal for my morning coffee, but I’m feeling the pull of the dark side. Last month I tried the Viennese Blend which I thought might be a little dark but I ended up loving.  Cross Country Cafe just started carrying Peet’s Coffee K-Cups which are a darker roast so I wasn’t sure I’d be in love with them.  I was wrong. They’re fantastic. I think it might be official: I’ve turned to the dark side.

Peet's Coffee K-Cups

While Peet’s Coffee is mostly dark, it’s not bitter which is what had always turned me off to dark coffee in the first place. I like to use flavored coffee creamer and have found that these darker roasts can really keep their delicious, robust coffee flavor without being ‘watered down’ by creamer.  I love it!  Peet’s Coffee K-cups come in 5 varieties:

  • French Roast: An intensely dark K-cup coffee with hints of smoke and sweet undertones.
  • House Blend (also available in Decaf): An easy to drink dark roast K-cup coffee with a medium body, hints of spice and a crisp finish.
  • Cafe Domingo: A medium roast K-cup coffee with hints of toffee sweetness that finishes crisp and clean.
  • Major Dickason’s Blend: Peet’s all time best seller. This is a dark roast K-cup that is sure to satisfy with its full body and depth of character.

I’ve tried them all (minus the decaf – Mommy doesn’t play with decaf) and have enjoyed each one. I can’t say I have a favorite, although the French Roast is really good! Give Peet’s Coffee K-cups a whirl and see if you’d like to join me on the dark side.  We have good coffee over here.   😉

You can get Peet’s Coffee K-Cups at Cross Country Cafe. This is my favorite place to buy  because first, it’s online!  They’ll deliver right to your door. They have great prices and orders of $59 or more ship free so you can stock up (because running out of k-cups is like the worst thing ever) and save even more.  Plus each week they have an awesome Wacky Wednesday sale and a great clearance section too.  Be sure to check out their monthly giveaway too!
