I have a friend from Jr. high and she is my family, because she has always been there for me even if we haven’t talked in awhile. She has never left my side. She makes me feel loved.

I lost my real family when I was younger and it’s just my daughter and I now. I am so blessed to have a couple of friends who are like sisters to me and and aunts to my daughter!

I only have a handful of biological family left, as in 3 siblings and a mother. Being as our mother did not raise us we are all kind of estranged from one another, besides the occasional Facebook like, so a lot of my long-term friends have become family.

I have several friends from college / grad school going back 25+ years that I consider “family”…oftentimes I feel closer
to them than my actual siblings; I suppose the experiences of college, as we find our way in life together as young adults, produces such a strong bond among some.

Being in the military, we have to make our family wherever we are stationed. I have a few close friends that I consider family.
