I love when we grill out. Not only does the food always taste delicious but it saves me a bunch of dishes which is a win in my book. So when we’re firing up the grill I try to plan as much of the meal on there as possible. Last week I got the entire thing on the grill and not one pot or pan dirty. Perfect! We made Grilled Pineapple as a side dish and it was a hit with all four of us. The kids ate it right up, too!
This is so easy to make: Mix up a few simple ingredients that you probably already have at home, throw in some pineapple slices (you could probably use a drained can for this but fresh is delish!), marinate it and then grill. Easy! And doubly easy when your husband is making it.

Grilled Pineapple Recipe
Ingredients
- One pineapple, peeled and cored and sliced into rings
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of honey
- A dash (or 2!) of hot pepper sauce
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Place the butter, honey, hot sauce, and salt in a resealable plastic baggie. You'll need a gallon or quart sized bag.
Mix those ingredients together just by squeezing the bag a few times from the outside.
Add the pineapple and seal the bag. Move it around a bit to coat the pineapple in the sauce. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes or more. Marinate overnight for the best flavor!
When you're ready to grill, preheat the grill to high and lightly oil the grates. Place the pineapple on the grates and grill for about 3 minutes per side. You can rotate them about 90 degrees after 90 seconds or so to get some crisscross grill marks on them if you want to get fancy!
Once they're heated through and have grill marks they're done. Take them off and plate them up and enjoy!
