You haven’t sent a birthday card to anyone in months. Well done, you. This post is just for you. And me, because I’m right there with you.
You’re A Card-Sending Slacker (Me Too)
I used to be so good at sending cards. Then life happened and even though I truly do remember everyone’s birthday and anniversary and everything in between, I just can’t get my act together to get to the store, buy a card, write in it, and mail it. Doing things like this is hard, am I right? Okay, I’m a card-sending slacker. But I also feel like it’s a bit of a waste of money because where do most of these cards end up?
Don’t get me wrong. I am the happiest girl on the block when a real card arrives in my mailbox. But I know myself by now, and I know that I could really use an alternative that shows people I’m not totally thoughtless but that won’t require me to go to a real store days in advance. Something that doesn’t require me to plan ahead. I’m good at other things, friends.
American Greetings eCards for Birthdays
Good news for people like me. I’ve partnered with AmericanGreetings.com to share with you their seemingly endless supply of eCards. I am in love. Seriously, this is exactly what I needed! For a very modest (prices listed further below) fee, you can join as a member to the AmericanGreetings.com website and have access to UNLIMITED eCards for any and all occasions.
They have a wide variety of cards in every style: funny, sentimental, for kids, you name it. They have it.
Fun to Personalize
AmericanGreetings.com birthday ecards are the ones I’m using the most because these are the most important. People like it when you remember their birthdays. And there are themes for everyone on your list. My daughter’s birthday is coming up and she’s going to laugh so hard when she sees this card in her inbox.
Some cards allow you to add a voice message, either your own or one from their ‘stock’. I put a British accent on this cat (and my daughter Lily calls our group of pets ‘the Tribe’ if you were wondering what that meant). It’s hilarious!
The you can add your own personalized message and even throw in a gift card if you choose. So fun to make and the hard part is waiting for them to open their email!
Schedule Delivery In Advance
I sent this funny card to my girlfriend, and her birthday is a week away but I’ll be traveling and don’t want to miss it. AmericanGreetings.com lets you schedule card delivery up to a year in advance. So if you’re super organized and have some time, you can sit down and bang out all your cards for the month in one shot.
There are tons of cards to choose from and what I really love is that this is fast. This isn’t like creating a photo book where your struggling to get it done. I can have a card done from start to finish in two minutes, easily. Look along the left side of the page where it allows you to quickly sort through the cards and find what you’re looking for. That makes it SO easy to find the perfect card very fast.
American Greetings eCards for All Occasions – Make Their Day, Any Day!
Another perk of an AmericanGreetings.com membership is that with unlimited cards you can send them just because. And they even have a Just Because cards category! Cheer someone up, let them know you’re thinking of them. even tell them you’re sorry.
My fellow animal lovers, you’re going to love browsing these cards. So many cute ones with pets on them! This is one of my favorites just to make someone’s day.
I love this one for a back-to-school send off. See? Something for everyone occasion and you can easily make someone’s day without taking too much time out of yours. Win win.
Membership Is Reasonably Priced (VERY Reasonably)
Think about how much a card costs, the kind you buy in a store. I found some that I loved recently in a cute little paper shop. $5.99. Ack. Multiply that by the number of cards you’d like to send in a year and it’s actually a significant expense.
Memberships to AmericanGreetings.com are very reasonably priced. A 1-month membership is currently $4.99; 1-year is $19.99; 2-years is $29.99. And all of those include unlimited cards! So for the price of one paper card, you can send unlimited cards for a whole month. DEAL.
Go Try It…For Free!

Remember that after 7 days is up you will be charged for a 1-month subscription if you don’t cancel during your trial period. How many cards can you find to send in 7 days? It’s a great way to take this service for a test drive.
