‘Tis the season, amiright? Season for baking, shopping, buying, wrapping, tree trimming, and generally going a bit crazy. It’s so easy to lose track of what makes thie holiday season really special in the midst of the rush. I’ve partnered with Penguin Young Readers to share their new book with you, North Pole Ninjas, which my kids and I are so excited about. It’s already helping us be more deliberate with our time and spreading kindness this holiday season. Here’s the scoop:
You may not know that Santa has a team of special elves, selected for their ability to help carry out top-secret missions that are all about helping, giving, caring, and listening. Anyone who receives this box is called upon to help carry out those top-secret missions with a bit of stealth and an open heart.
The gorgeously illustrated picture book retells the ancient legend the North Pole Ninjas use for new recruits. After reading the book, readers are given their own Ninja missions to carry out: 50 special tasks packed in a special envelope. Complete with a plush and huggable “sensei” to guide Ninjas on their journey, this is the perfect antidote to worrying about whether your child has been naughty or nice.
Figuring out what to get kids for Christmas can be hard, but the North Pole Ninjas book is here and it’s the perfect gift for kids (and their parents). Your mission is to help bring kindness back to Christmas and the easiest way to do that is to order the book for friends and loved ones.
North Pole Ninjas
North Pole Ninjas is a book that comes in a box set with a plush sensei, a pact for you to sign, and a whole bunch of missions for your family to embark on to spread kindess around like confetti.
The book is great! We’ve read it a few times already and not only do we love the colorful, relateable pictures, but the rhyming verses are so much fun to read with the kids! The message is simple: You’ve been recruited as a North Pole Ninja to spread holiday cheer by performing acts of kindness. And you have to be stealthy about it. Ninjas aren’t looking for a pat on the back. They are just there to do good and get away with it!
The set comes with your own sensei to take with you on your missions. Isn’t he cute?
Both of my kids love him. He’s sitting up on a bookshelf in our living room hanging out with us and reminding us to go out and be kind. My daughter wants to name him Shooey but we are not all in agreement on this. ha!
In addition to the book and the sensei, the set comes with your very own missions. Take a look at the trailer below to meet the authors, Tyler Knott Gregson and Sarah Linden, and see why they created North Pole Ninjas.

Our Missions: We Choose to Accept!
Now that we’ve read the book and have a probable name for our sensei, we are ready to get started throwing kindness around! The missions come with a pact that both of my kids signed . You can click the one above or click here to print extra copies for your kids.
The pact in the set is also an envelope to help you stay organized with this endeavor. Keep your missions all in one place and be sure to save them. You’ll want to come back and do this again year after year!
The ideas on these missions are all very doable so it’s truly FUN to follow through and not a chore. This year we’re committed to giving the gift of kindness, which let’s face it, we could all use a bit more of.
There are 50 missions, including the opportunity to write your own mission! My kids are having so much fun getting creative with this. It has honestly inspired them to the point that I had to tell my daughter we’re not going to do them all in one day! She said, “Okay. But it’s a good thing to work on when you’re bored.” Can’t argue with that!
Read more about North Pole Ninjas on the Penguin Young Readers website, and grab your own set for the kids on Amazon. You can follow on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, too. We’re using the hashtag #NorthPoleNinjas and I’ll be sharing some of our missions on my social media too so be sure to join in!
