I was provided with a complimentary Jenga Tetris game to facilitate this review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
Jenga Tetris is a fun new stacking game from Hasbro! What a combo of these two popular stacking games. We were sent a game to review and I actually had fun playing with it all by myself before setting it loose with the family.
This is what comes in the box: a wrapped set of Tetris pieces, and the directions. The directions are really straightforward and easy to read.
You start (from left to right) by building a tower with all the game pieces. Then you remove them from the stack one at a time and pile the pieces you removed on the top. The person to knock the tower over is eliminated from the game. So you can see I didn’t really last too long here!
There are a few things I really like about this game:
- There are no batteries! This game is perfect to take with you on a vacation. I always like to take something to do to keep the kids busy in the event of bad weather. It’s just nice to have games that don’t make weird noises all the time and are constantly out of commission because they need their batteries replaced.
- You can play this game by yourself. It’s almost like doing a puzzle. If you play by yourself, just try to beat your tallest tower to win.
- It cleans up quickly. The pieces are big enough that they’re easy to clean up and put away. No little pieces getting lost in the carpet.
Jenga Tetris is available on Amazon (retail price $16.99 but last time I looked it was on sale!) and would be a really fun gift for your family! Be sure to follow Hasbro Game Night on Facebook and on Twitter to be the first to hear about any new fun games and promotions!
Hasbro is generously offering one of my readers a Jenga Tetris game of their own! This giveaway is open to US residents ages 18+ and will end on November 15, 2013. You can enter to win [HERE].
