Disney has provided me with an expense paid trip to Hollywood for the Disney Planes Event in exchange for my review of the events of the trip. No other compensation was given. The opinions and experiences in my posts are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
We just took the kids to see Disney Planes earlier this week and they loved it as much as I did when I saw it the first time! You can check out all my reasons to go take your family if you haven’t hit the theater yet. And now you can bring the fun of Disney Planes home on the Nintendo platform! I had the chance to test drive the Disney Planes video game and even though I’m not a gamer at all, I had a blast playing it, probably because they’ve made it so easy to play even I couldn’t screw it up!
Take a look at the Disney Planes Video Game:
It looks like fun, right? There are a few things I love about it. First, you can’t ‘die’. That’s a big plus for me because that’s so frustrating, especially if you have a little kid playing that needs help getting started again. If you don’t die, you don’t have to start over. Also, a second player can jump in at any time without disrupting the game. Love that! No more siblings fighting over who gets to play next.
Here are some of the other highlights for the console versions:
- Exclusive to Nintendo platform, available for Wii, Wii U, PC
- Choose from 10 Planes characters
- Travel through 10 environments inspired by the film
- Four modes of play: Air Rallies, Story, Free Flight and Balloon Popping
- One or two players that can drop in and drop out at any time
And for the handheld games:
- Exclusive to the Nintendo Platform: DS and DS3
- Choose from 6 Planes characters
- Travel through 6 environments inspired by the film
- Over 40 challenging missions, including racing missions
- Three modes of play: Story, Challenge and Balloon Popping
- Single player game
The adventures in this game occur after the film, independent of the film so it’s a totally new batch of stories to explore. I also like that because you don’t ‘die’ younger kids won’t feel overwhelmed and like they can’t win, yet the competition for a high score will keep older kids challenged too. It took the Disney gaming folks about a year to make this game and it really is awesome! You can check it out on Amazon where it’s available for purchase now.
Now how about a chance to win a Disney Planes video game of your own? I’m giving away the Wii U version to one lucky winner. This giveaway will end on August 26. You can enter to win [HERE].
