How Do You Watch the Summer Games?
My family loves the Summer Games and let me tell you, it’s nice to have something on TV that we can all agree on and enjoy watching together. Unfortunately life goes on during the games and we can’t always be there live to watch the events we are most interested. So we usually end up watching when we have time, and not when there’s an event on that we really wanted to catch.
We love soccer (both of my kids play!), gymnastics, and swimming the most so we’re hoping to catch some of each of them. Now if we had Xfinity X1, we wouldn’t have to cross our fingers and hope the Summer Games schedule aligned with ours. I’m SO in love with how they’ve made the Summer Games in Rio YOUR games to watch on your schedule! Check it out below.
Customize Your Summer Games Experience With Xfinity X1
My family was invited by Comcast to join them at a Phillies game (woohoo, go Phils!) recently where we got a little peek into what’s coming with the Xfinity X1 Summer Games experience. We were seriously impressed. My kids spent most of the presentation stuffing in soft pretzels, but it even captured their attention enough for them to both tell me when we were done, “I want that, Mommy!” So let me show you the highlights.
Before I point out my favorite features, the main take-away here is that X1 has made the games YOURS to experience how you choose to. While I’m lucky to catch one of the sports I’m most interested in if it happens to be on when we’re able to turn on the TV, X1 allows you to watch what you want, when you want (and skip all the rest!).
Xfinity X1 makes it so easy to discover the content you want to watch. Check out the screen above where you can search content by the sport, athlete, or nation. Love Michael Phelps? Select Athletes and then you can search for his name.
And the X1 even has a voice remote so you can say, ‘How old is Gabby Douglas?” and it will TELL YOU! You can also tag your favorite athletes as favorites to keep the content you care most about easy to find.
Customers can access all of this content from their X1 remote where they’ll find over 6000 hours of Summer Games programming – a combination of live programming, on-demand, and NBC sports app streaming content.
And it’s all searchable, at any time. With our X1 voice remote, you can say “Watch primetime,” “Find Michael Phelps,” or “How is the USA doing in the medal count,” and X1 will take you right there. It’s a glimpse into the future of television – with unprecedented choice, personalization, and discovery. – Comcast.com
Something else that’s unique about the X1 experience is that the entire thing is available in Spanish.
Take a look at the video below to get a look at how all of this comes to life on the TV. It’s one thing for me to tell you about it and another for you to actually see it!
Isn’t it such a great way to enjoy the games?!
What Did We Think?
It probably goes without saying at this point that we loved it. Seriously, we were really impressed, and that includes both of my kids and my husband. Being able to catch the action you really want to catch is awesome, and that voice remote? Genius. How many questions do your kids ask you while you’re watching sports on TV? I think we all need one of these. I’ll just hand it right over to them now.
